Episode Synopsis

With 21 days remaining, Bulent recognizes Seth from his previous challenge and immediately doubts his abilities. Rather than joining forces, Bulent builds his own boma nearby and keeps his distance. He also makes no effort to share his food with Seth.

At Wes and Gwen's camp, Wes heads out hunting and spots a klipspringer. His shot connects, and after following the blood trail he finds the animal. He and Gwen butcher it and immediately grill the organs, giving both of them a much-needed boost. They estimate the remaining meat could last them seven to ten days if carefully rationed.

That plan changes when Ryan, Suzanne, Sarah and Jon finally arrive after resuming their trek following Sarah's recovery. Wes and Gwen welcome the group, share the meat, and everyone agrees to start fresh together. Ryan, Jon, Sarah and Suzanne begin building a larger boma because the original shelter is too small for six people.

The expanded team settles in for a major feast, but the smell of meat attracts hyenas, which prowl close to camp during the night.

By Day 20, Bulent goes to speak with Seth and asks to borrow his bow. Seth refuses. From his perspective, Bulent refused to share food, so there is no reason to share the bow. Bulent questions how Seth has gone so long without securing meaningful food and wonders whether the problem is the area or Seth's hunting ability.

Bulent also criticizes Seth's hunting blind, which he believes does little to conceal him.

While the large group continues working well together, Bulent sets passive fishing lines for terrapin using a frog as bait. The strategy pays off. He catches one terrapin and then another, including a female carrying eggs. As Bulent begins cooking, Seth smells the food from nearby and briefly wonders if hunger is making his mind play tricks on him. Bulent has no intention of sharing.

On Day 21, Ryan reaches the 21-day mark for the first time. Seth also reaches his first 21 days. Wes and Ryan head out hunting together, knowing the larger camp will require a steady supply of food.

By Day 22, Ryan is becoming frustrated. Despite years of bow-hunting experience, he still has not personally secured a kill during the challenge.

On Day 24, a brutal heat wave pushes temperatures to around 120°F. Seth remains in his blind and takes a shot at an animal, striking it in the hindquarters. Watching from a distance, Bulent questions whether Seth should even attempt tracking it in such dangerous heat.

Seth follows the blood trail as temperatures climb to 123°F but is unable to find the animal. Severely dehydrated, he decides to return to camp for water and plans to continue tracking later.

The return trip becomes a struggle. The ground burns his feet, his body begins shutting down, and Seth feels close to passing out. He finally reaches camp and asks Bulent for help and water, even offering to let him use the bow.

Bulent believes Seth may be finished. Seth develops a nosebleed, and producers step in to evaluate the situation. He declines a medic examination but decides he has reached his limit.

Satisfied that he made it past 21 days but unable to continue physically, Seth taps out.

The episode ends with Bulent once again alone while the six-person camp continues pushing toward Day 40.
