Where to Watch
Episode Synopsis
On Day 11, Makani is traveling alone after leaving Bulent's camp, facing a three-mile trek to reach another water source. Bulent, meanwhile, is thrilled to finally have camp to himself. He renames his boma the "Bro-ma," though hunger is starting to become a serious problem.
At Suzanne and Seth's camp, tensions remain high. Seth does not want to be left alone, and Makani unexpectedly finds him while he is sitting in his hunting blind. After talking it over, Suzanne and Seth agree to welcome Makani into their group.
The new trio begins strengthening the boma, although most of the work falls to Suzanne and Makani while Seth continues focusing on hunting.
Wes and Gwen are still struggling to find enough food.
Back at the Bro-ma, Bulent finds a decomposing catfish head crawling with maggots and uses it as bait. A large catfish takes the bait, biting Bulent's finger and breaking the line. Rather than give up, Bulent jumps into the muddy water and searches for the fish with his bare hands. After wrestling with it in the mud, he finally gets control of it and finishes the kill with a punch.
By Day 13, Suzanne is increasingly frustrated with Seth's priorities. She wants him to spend less time hunting and more time helping with water, firewood and camp maintenance.
Ryan continues hunting as well, taking several shots at hyrax without success.
The tension between Suzanne and Seth finally boils over. Exhausted by the heat and increasingly desperate, Seth becomes furious when Suzanne prioritizes bringing water to Makani instead of him. The argument exposes how badly their partnership has deteriorated.
On Day 14, Suzanne and Makani begin discussing leaving Seth behind and finding another camp.
Ryan is also struggling and decides he may need to change tactics, planning an overnight hunting trip in hopes of finally securing food.
Makani's condition worsens rapidly. Medics are called in to evaluate her, and after struggling physically through the heat and lack of food, she decides she cannot continue.
Makani taps out, ending her 40-day challenge and leaving Suzanne and Seth together once again as their conflict continues to intensify.
