Where to Watch
Episode Synopsis
Suzanne is struggling after Makani's departure. Her body is scraped up, her feet are badly sunburned, and she wants to leave Seth's camp but is not physically ready to make the move. She keeps working on the boma while Seth tries to sleep, which only adds to the tension between them.
Ryan sets out on an extended hunting trip, hoping to improve his luck.
Bulent, meanwhile, continues settling into solo life. He builds himself a chair out of elephant bones and proudly names it the "Bone Throne."
By late morning, temperatures have already reached 110°F. Seth is hunting from brush cover and takes a shot at an impala, hitting it in the hind leg. He follows a blood trail but eventually finds the arrow, confirming it was not a fatal shot.
Ryan's expedition unexpectedly leads him to Wes and Gwen's camp. They hear him approaching after he steps on thorns and starts grunting in pain. Ryan offers them some dried catfish, and they show him their reliable spring. The three decide Ryan will stay for a day or two and hunt with them before returning to his own team.
Suzanne's feet continue getting worse, covered in painful blisters from the sunburn. She knows she cannot migrate until they heal. Despite her frustrations with Seth, she worries when he stays out hunting for hours in 109°F heat without water.
Elsewhere, Jon discovers a venomous puff adder and kills it with a spear.
Seth eventually becomes badly dehydrated and is forced to return to camp for water.
At Wes and Gwen's camp, Ryan joins them for a cooperative hunt. The strategy pays off when Wes takes a shot at a klipspringer and lands a successful hit. The kill provides a badly needed feast, with the group eating the organs first. Impressed by the camp's water and hunting potential, Ryan begins thinking about bringing Jon and Sarah over to join them.
Bulent faces a new problem of his own. His water source is shrinking under the relentless heat, with no rain to replenish it and local wildlife competing for what remains.
Back at Suzanne and Seth's camp, their relationship deteriorates further. That night, they argue over space inside the boma, and Seth erupts at Suzanne, cursing at her during the confrontation.
On Day 17, Suzanne gets up early to gather firewood and finds a bundle of feathers. She uses them to protect her badly burned feet and realizes they may finally make it possible for her to travel.
With a potential solution to her injured feet, Suzanne returns to camp and tells Seth she is leaving him.
The episode ends with Suzanne preparing to abandon the increasingly hostile partnership and search for a new camp.
