Like, Subscribe and Survive

On a Thai island, five self-styled “influencers” take on a 14-day challenge that feels more like a chaotic fan survival test than a traditional pairing. The group begins split into two camps: Beau Martin, Pearson Caldwell, and Jena Ocean on one side of the island, and Dragonsky Shilletha Curtis with Perry Cornwell on the other.

The three-person team gets off to the stronger start, making fire quickly and building an A-frame shelter with an elevated platform. Meanwhile, Dragonsky and Perry struggle on the wet, windy side of the island, spending days trying to catch a flame while scavenging oysters and experimenting with a bamboo water filter. Perry also works on palm frond shingles to improve their shelter.

By day four, after being harassed by rats, Perry builds a deadfall trap and kills one just as their team finally gets fire. They grill the rat and later make broth from the bones and organs. The larger team has more success early, catching minnows with a mosquito net while Jena’s spear gun attempts come up short. But their focus drifts toward creating “influencer” content instead of survival tasks, and Jena later gets sick after eating raw urchin and possibly suffering from too much sun.

Heavy rain on days six and seven knocks down fires and morale. Dragonsky and Perry try fishing with bamboo poles, but come up empty. By day eight, the two teams finally find each other and merge, shifting their energy toward building a raft for extraction. Despite wet conditions, shaky priorities, rat meals, raw urchin, and an endless supply of “Let’s go!” energy, all five push through the island challenge and make it to the end.
