Cassie Turner is a marine biologist who was working in deep-sea research at the University of Hawaii when she appeared on Discovery's Naked and Afraid S6E3 "Frozen in Fear", surviving 21 days in the Canadian wilderness with partner Greg Wells. A graduate of Siloam Springs High School in Arkansas, she grew up hunting, fishing, and exploring forested land around her childhood home, where she learned many of her primitive survival skills from her grandfather.
