Naked and Afraid XL — Season 3

XL Season 3 aired from April through June 2017, moving the format to the Ecuadorian Amazon. Nine survivalists, a smaller cast than earlier XL seasons, worked through eight episodes including "Heart of Darkness," "What Lies Beneath," "Shattered," "Outbreak," "Divided We Fall," "Left Behind," and the finale "The Final Fight."

The cast included Matt Wright, Giovanna Horning, Lacey Jones, Amber Hargrove, Charlie Frattini, Fernando Calderon, Shannon Kulpa, Matt Alexander, and Russell Sage. The season's mid-run "Worlds Collide Part 2" tied directly into the parallel storyline from that spring's Naked and Afraid Season 7 finale, one of the earliest cross-series continuity moves in the franchise.
