Quince Mountain is a writer and dog musher based in Mountain, Wisconsin, where he lives with his wife, author and musher Blair Braverman. He was the first openly transgender competitor on Naked and Afraid, appearing in 2019, and later became the first openly trans musher to run the Iditarod. He has written for the New York Times and Outside about gender, religion and the outdoors, and co-authored the book Dogs on the Trail. See Naked and Afraid S10E18 "Honduran Hell".
