Naked and Afraid XL — Season 2

Naked and Afraid XL Season 2 aired from July through August 2016, moving the 40-day format from Colombia to South Africa's savanna. Twelve survivalists took on the challenge across eight episodes titled "Lions at the Gate," "Man on Fire," "Human Prey," "Too Many Chiefs," "Rock Bottom," "Deadly Consequences," "The Sickness," and the finale "The Last Roar."

The season introduced Alyssa Ballestero, Angel Rodriguez, Carrie Booze, Clarence Gilmer II, Kim Kelly, and Darrin Reay to the extended-format spinoff. Returning veterans Ryan Holt, Stacey Osorio, Steven Lee Hall Jr, and Tawny Lynn rounded out the cast in what became one of the show's most predator-heavy runs.
