Episode Synopsis
In Zambia, outdoor experts Tyler Whitney, a tree climber, and Ali Williams, a wilderness guide, attempt a 21-day challenge that quickly becomes more about personalities than survival skills. Tension builds early as Ali grows frustrated with Tyler’s bossy approach, and the rough conditions make things worse when Ali gets sick from smoke inhalation on the first night. By day three, lack of sleep and constant disagreements push the partnership to the breaking point. After arguing over a possible move to a new location, Ali finally pushes back — and Tyler taps out soon after.
Left alone, Ali settles into a solo survival routine and keeps working through the challenge. She builds a fishing rod and even crafts a homemade thorn hook, but her best chance at food breaks when a fish bites and snaps it. With little food, prowling lions at night, and harsh weather wearing her down, Ali faces one final blow on day 18 when she is stung by a scorpion during a rainy night. Despite the pain, isolation, and setbacks, Ali refuses to quit and completes the challenge on her own.
